I give them credit for hanging in there all year, the way they did, in a season with record numbers of man/lost injuries....

but they are losing it now, physically, I believe....

and to have to watch Dickey, of all people, the poster boy for bad trades, do them in, was pretty tough....

they would have to win out now to sneak in, and that seems highly unlikely the way they are playing .....

can't combine good hitting with good pitching, one or the other goes south on them right now...

they have over achieved with the players that filled the roster. Too many injuries. just hope they dont throw in the towel but will play hard to finish the season. Petitte sounded defeated post game. finish strong Yanks!!

.... Like Huge posted most of any Yanks fan knew it was not Dickey who softened the chances it was Boston again. If you were born before instant you replay you remember the Bombers of the 70's they do come back like a Bad Cold . Can't wait for you to sell the Knickerbockers this season, love you man ! Lol

gotta credit Girardi for doing everything he could last night. switching pitchers per situation in the late innings, never gave up.
Unfortunately that game may have been the nail in the coffin.
