I just subscribed to Yamamoto's magazine 'Inside Line'. With the subsription you get a promo of some worms which nearly pays for the subscription. Verrry Cool!

It is a decent mag too.
Inside Line is a good magazine

It's one of the better ones I read now....hopefully they gave you something other than senko's.
4" cut tails.

Yup. No senkos. 4" watermellon worm. 4-10-194J/watermellon with black flake.
freebie

Believe it or not,

They use to give out a lot more freebies than now...

The more money Gary makes, the cheaper he gets.

Still a nice magazine
ASk if you are reordering the Inside Line because I was told you are not getting the freebies only new subscribers. I got a ton of stuff three years ago when I got it for the first time.
I have gotten Inside LIne for the last three years.....unusual magazine, in that there are no other advertisements......except for yammies......

however, of late, it has become a little more "homer" oriented than before, and I find it a little repetitive....

also unlike the "good ol' boy" mags, it is NOT Southern geared, on the contrary it is very partial to the WEST.....

I guess I have just run out the string on it.....but it is a helpful mag, especially for someone just starting to fish Yamamoto products.......
Plus the world Famous Pat X writes articles in there!:D
John, we talked about the Inside Line in the past and like you said it can only be fresh for so long talking about one brand and really keying on the West. My other problem is it tends to be a bit thin.
It is hard to be objective when you are writing for a product sponsored magazine but I think that the writers present their articles much better than say Bassmaster. I liked the mag and subscribed to it for a few years. I don't get it currently. Their staff is not brainwashed into only mentioning Yammie baits.
The deal I got was...

one bag of their four inch curl-tailed worms in watermelon, and two 1/4 oz jigs for renewing my subscription.
I think it is a well wriitten magazine with many great pieces, but it is hard to stay fresh and new. They also offer a free e-mag each month afrom their website with articles and updates about their product line.
Personally, I have seen the customer support that Yamamoto offers to their clients, far more than that among any of the numerous other tackle companies, based on my own experiences. They have been real good to me....and have also supported numerous charities and events amonst us here at this site recently that I know of, too, and numerous other ones too.
GYCB really does share much fishing knowledge with anglers, and make their pro-staffers easily accessible to us everyday anglers, too, so that we may benefit from their local experiences. I have learned much from several of them all around our country, including seeing two great presentations by both PatX and Mike D individually this past year. Pat gave a stellar presentaion on drop-shotting that I took in at the Nassau Coliseum, and Mike did a real spectacular job of discussion the fine points of sonar at the NYBass University at Mt Kisco, and I thank them both for what they taught me.
