Hello everyone I am new here and I was wondering if anyone could help out with some pointers. This site seems so full of information. I am looking to go for white perch in the yaphank area off a tin boat.
Any advise would be great thanks.

for MANY YEARS i used to catch gigantic and MANY white perch in cross river res in the spring while bass fishing - but not so much any more - have not gotten one in a long time -- but when it was hot i did good with - small white tubes - blakeley road runners - hair jigs - and jointed rapala cranks! - loved catching them on 6lb test line! -- a lure that might be worth a try would be a small x-rap!

good luck!

Anthing that works for crappie works double for white perch. They are as crazy as rock bass !!! Jigs rigged with soft plastics are the best.
1/8 oz or 1/16 oz with 3" or less curl tails grubs or Mann Shadow fish are a start.

(I think this belongs in another topic area.)

VOLK: there is a story attached to the White Perch phenomena at CR, of which I will relate to you at the seminar....
