I went out with a fellow member that is new to the lake and showed him around. Within 30 minutes he catches this 3 plus bass in the same area I caught a 3lb plus that I posted a day ago.

The water was up 3' from all the rain and the fish were a lot harder to locate. (The rock walls I showed in the previous post are a foot underwater!)

Just one example of how too much of a thing (rain), can put the bite off, even though the water temp was still in the low 50's.
We caught 9 LM in all, but b.s.ed alot about similar experiences (like we do on this forum). (My 2lb and other fish weren't worth posting pics of.)

AlexT is very knowledgeable about waters all over N.Y. (Maybe he'll post a few of his many experiences.) (Loved his brand new Triton that trolled at 10mph on low!)

Huge, I haven't been able to fall-fish in many years due to work demands. I forgot how invigorating it can be, especially with no jet skis, few other boats, intense colors and the chance at some big mamas! I can never figure why many guys winterize their boats and store their tackle after the tournament season is done, even if they are hunters. Rob is right - fall fishing on any water (especially in the n.e.) has a lot to offer.

So true...

Frank...you nailed it! Fall fishing can be tremendous, often rewarded with big fat Pigs!
Yup, it is indeed truly wonderful when the hills are alive with colors, there's no jet skiers or water-skiers buzzing every few minutes[or less], and one is not sweating a gallon a hour and baking your brains, too.

Thanks Frank !

,,,,but I will e away next week fishing a tourney in ARK, ata Beaver lake, trying to win a new Champion/Yamaha in the Yamamoto Open Series Final.
When I get home, I will have some REAL catching up to do at work, as I have taken these three weeks off in such a tight time slot.
I do look forward to fishing with you again, but it may have to wait till next year sadly, as I somewhat overdid vacationing too closly to each other, being self-employed, with nobody to cover my business.
Hmm...maybe my boss will fire me and I can then fish all of the days....

Can't get fired.......I ain't pretty enough to get some lady to be my Senko sugar-daddy.....LOL as I got a couple of Senko bags a day habit.....lol.
Sleeping in a tent would not bother me, till maybe January, but fishing with NO Senkos....oh, the horror!!!:D
