I went out with a fellow member that is new to the lake and showed him around. Within 30 minutes he catches this 3 plus bass in the same area I caught a 3lb plus that I posted a day ago.
The water was up 3' from all the rain and the fish were a lot harder to locate. (The rock walls I showed in the previous post are a foot underwater!)
Just one example of how too much of a thing (rain), can put the bite off, even though the water temp was still in the low 50's.
We caught 9 LM in all, but b.s.ed alot about similar experiences (like we do on this forum). (My 2lb and other fish weren't worth posting pics of.)
AlexT is very knowledgeable about waters all over N.Y. (Maybe he'll post a few of his many experiences.) (Loved his brand new Triton that trolled at 10mph on low!)
