I decided to post this here rather than in the Sponsor News area as I thought that perhaps more people would see it here. With the show drawing nearer, Dec. 27th - Jan 4th, I thought this might enlighten some of you.

Many of you, particularly those of you who are not overly familiar with the NY Boat Show, may not realize that there is a lot more going on than just a bunch of boats on display. Almost every type of boating and fishing related product can be found at this show.

Every major brand of electronics from fish finders and guages, underwater cameras, 2 way radios, marine stereo systems and GPS units are on display and available for you to purchase. The representatives from their respective companies will be glad to answer any questions you have regarding their products.

Almost any kind of cleaning and maintanance products are also available. There are new and interesting tools and devices to be discovered as well.

There are large dispalys by such retailers as West Marine and Boaters World where you can find great deals on rain gear and foul weather clothing, gear bags and tackle boxes, rods, reels, lures, line, polarized sunglasses, life jackets, waders and just about anything else you can think of. Speaking of life jackets....on Saturdays and Sundays kids under 12 can get a FREE LIFE JACKET at the Allstate booth, while supplies last. (Kids must be present)

Want a custom hat, jacket or shirt? There are two or three exhibitors that will embroider what ever your heart desires on any of the products they sell. (Rumor has it that John G is getting a new MUSTARD shirt that says "EVIL TYRANT")

There are some of the best buys I've seen on dock lines in every size & color you can imagine. Boat bumpers too!

There is marine jewelry and artwork, all kinds of magazines, books and videos, fishing information sevices, vacation get-a-ways, a brand new diving section, complete with a dive pool, fishing and boating seminars, boat give-a-ways and more.

There will even be some boats on dispaly. In fact every shape and size boat you can think of. You are allowed to not only view, but board most of them so you can see them up close and personal.

I hope that this information has given you a little more insight as to what actually goes on at this show and hope that you will want to attend. FREE TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE.
PS: I'll be there too!:D
