How does one go about getting a soft plastic mold made for a new bait ?...

How complicated is the process of pouring it myself for my own use and not commercial sale ?

Also how does one go about pitching an idea to a major bait company without turning over your idea to be stolen and left out in the cold ?

Thanks Ahead...

Mark, to start with, go buy some modeling clay and form or perfect your idea. Next you can fill that mold with plaster to form a master. Without spending too much money, duplicate the mold using bondo. If you want to get a real workable durable mold, you can buy the same RV or RTV compound and make a simple flexible mold. Ultimately, there are a few places that will make you a steel mold but we are talking 100.00's of dollars for that....not bad if you want to produce a bait but not necessary for home pouring.

Ahhhhh very interesting Craig,

Will the molding clay accept an impression from my just pushing a handpoured bait into the clay ?...It must be pretty soft then...

What would it take me in materials and costs to do this for say 100 ct in my own home ?

BTW, thank you so much for this....
