I have to tell you about this crappy car dealership. Me and the Bride went to look at leasing a Trailblazer. When we went to this dealership they told me if I traded in my 1993 Grand cherokee tonight they would give me $5,000 for the trade. After talking for a while they came up with a price of $275.00 per month. what a steal I thought. All the paper work was filled out and we go to pick up the truck. They take my old plates off and put them on the new truck. We are basicly walking out the door when they tell us there was a problem with the price they gave it to me for. The price should have been $350.00 per month. The problem I had with this is this paperwork went through 3 peoples hands, The manager, the financing division and the salesman and no one noticed it. So now the Manager comes over and says they cant let the truck go for that price, So I say thats to bad your whole company approved it so you figure out the problem yourself. As this is going on the salesman takes the plates off my new truck and puts them back on the old truck as I go to say something to him the manager basicly takes the paper work from my hand and puts it in the paper shredder right in front of me. I could not beleive this was happening. My first response was to destroy this guy so after they pried me off him and seperated us there was not a damn thing I could do. The better bussiness bureau has pages of complaints about this company. What pisses me off the most is all I had to do was walk out with the paperwork and there was not a damn thing they could do. I guess I fell for the oldest trick in the book. This manager was so slick in the way he got that paperwork in the shredder so quickly that he must have done this before. Well we ended up going to a new dealership that treated us great so it all worked out in the long run. Im sorry that im venting but my wife wont listen to me whine anymore.

Last night's...

Dateline show had a segment on car sles "tricks" of the trade....Now I know why being called a car salesman isn't a compliment. One scam was when the ech #'s on your windsheild. It costs them $85.00 to get done. They normally charge $188.00 to a buyer...if your lucky. Some people got charged $1,000.00 for this!!! The devil is in the details...read the fine print!!!!

these car dealershps definitely need to be regulated. the government regulates everything else but them. they need it the most. bunch of crooks.

Jimmy, it is really weird you are telling this story because last night, my boss was telling me a similar situation concerning a -
Trailblazer!

He agrees on a monthly price of the truck, signs the lease agreement and comes back a few days later to find out that the salesman 'made' a mistake on the price and is asking for more.

Furious, my boss reneges on the deal and leases the same truck at the next GM dealer......

Jim....Im wondering if you went to the same dealer that my boss went.

Is the GM dealer in Hicksville?.....

The dealer that I had problems with are in Floral Park and has another dealership out east. It seems this problem is more common than we thought.

jimmy... if i were you, i'd call arnie diaz or some other consumer advocate for local tv news and tell them your story... they love to expose these shady dealers!

We went to the Better Business bureau, and the dealer told them that we misunder stood the salesman. They were basically saying the whole transaction didnt take place and we were unhappy because we didnt get the truck for the price we wanted. I have friends that work in that town and they tell me that this dealer has nothing but problems. They had all there windows broken in there new truck storage facility numerous times. Couldnt have happened to a better bunch of people. They actually had a family outside picketing with signs and lemons hanging from there car they bought from them. I wish I would have seen that must have been some sight.
