This reel has a few scratches and some boat rash (8 out of 10 visually) but is in excellent mechanical condition (10 out of 10 mechanically). This reel is cleaned and lubed with Hot Sauce on a regular basis to keep it in perfect working order. The Chronarchs are among the finest reels made by Shimano and feature 6.2 to 1 retrieve rate, Super Stopper infinite anti-reverse, variable braking systems, 6 bearings (5 ball and 1 roller) and one of the best drag systems available.

Is this the silver one, or the new Chronarch with the improved bearings? I own both, and I have to agree with you, they are one of the finest reels made - awesome. I have a silver one that has to be 7 years old, and still performs like a champ!

This one is a silver model. I has after market bearing but I sold it Friday, too lazy to pull it off this site. It is such a great reel. I have another one I'm holding on to and a Metanium which is more copper in color. It has the best bearings I've ever seen on a reel.
