Well all good things must come to an end. Rockland got the better of me today. I could only muster up a 10 incher on a huge inline bucky and lost a 3lber at the end of the trip on a buzzbait. Although I wouldn't know a turnover if it bit me in the ass, the lake has changed drasticallly in the last two days. The pea green paint that was there on Friday is completely gone and there was little to no movement in the shallows. The water clarity has improved markedly. Water temps were 58. Andrew Bornn was also on the lake and caught two smallies over 2lbs. I guess the tourney fisherman stole all "my" fish. LOL! Dad was the "Big Man" on campus with his two smallies both over 2.5lbs. Here is a picture of one of them:

Johm, sounds like post turnover conditions. Once the fish acclimate they should start their fall feeding binge and hopefully things will pick up!

Kudos to Dad on his smallies!

Nice pot-bellied smallie...exactly where I caught one on Friday...what a drop-off!

Glad to hear the pea soup has thinned...I'm still trying to clean off my reels from Saturday.

Did Andrew mention that a tournament is tenatively scheduled for the 1st of November? This season keeps going and going and going...

I think this will be the 3rd "final" Rockland tourney post I've put up...glad to keep things going over there though. Are you guys available?

Off to the bridge tomorrow with my brother Paul...god save us from the shorties!

Matt
