RE: my Rant on Sports media ie: Piazza

TAKE A HIKE MIKE

That was the cover on the front page of the daily news this morning........

guys: this whole thing is because an EX teamate of Piazza spoke of this to another reporter.....

on that hearsay alone, we have this headline both pages of the paper???

you see what I am talking about?

Does Piazza even deserve this negative publicity?

Please, lets not demonize this man.......

I am so close to not buying newspapers anymore........

I think he has his....

own negative publicity...According to yesterday's Daily News he was at the Ranger game Wednesday night. When they showed a picture of him on the MSG screen the fans started booing and chanting "Roger Clemens, Roger Clemens". Talk about feeling unwanted!!
Two things...Yes, NY is a TOUGH city.
No comparing Mets and Yankees in this town...this is a pin-strip city.;)

George, what negative publicity?

Mike Piazza has been one of the most active superstars we have ever had in NY with charitable events.....

he has been an icon in that category.......

he has always showed class and restraint during the games, and he has never hot-dogged it......

in no way or form has he created on iota of negativity....

let's not get into another one of these " I hate the Yanks or hate the Mets" type of debates.........and let it color our thoughts.....

Mike has been a first class guy since coming here......

if him and the Mets want to part ways, then so be it, but "take a hike Mike"?

the Daily news is just trying to steal thunder from the POST which has overtaken the News in circulation the last couple of years.....

Clemens is no angel......but I wouldn't demonize him either....
