I have a Shimano Stradic 4000 reel I need to match with a rod. My question is not what brand rod but what would anyone suggest as far as length and action would be best for this reel?

Any and all feedback appreciated.

thats an excellent reel you got there, 'Frog.....

Id pair that to a 7 ft M- MH. I know a couple of upstate guys who uses that reel for draggin tubes.....
