Hope you all had a good winter. A friend of mine is looking to rent a place in June to do some filming. Prefer a private lake with accommodations for like 15 people and a boat launch, and the key being that the lake is loaded with big largemouth/smallmouth. Any ideas?

If there is such lake in NY, I would highly doubt anyone here would give up that location. You're best bet would be to hit Champlain, the St. Lawrence, or even Oneida.

You can try Peck's Lake but I'm not sure how the fishing is there anymore.

Hopatcong has little boat rentals with 5hp motors on them.

I did check with Bill, he's looking into it for me...

I'm not sure why they want to rent a private lake. Last year they did have their filming event at Champlain. I think the goal for this year is to have a little more freedom to film without having to worry about noise or other boaters/jetskis in the shots.

They could even stay at a place around Syracuse. They could hit Oneida, Onondaga Lake or even make a trip less than an hour North to hit Lake Ontario in and around Henderson Harbor
