Can you guys IMAGINE the amount of people that are going to be calling/emailing/PMing/IMing poor John G on how he did today on Mahopac!!!!!! My GOD, that poor guy is going to be SWAMPED considering he is the only guy I know this week that will be fishing Mahopac.

Looks like the weather held up for you John - a little breezy, but decent conditions from what I can see. Hope you had a good day buddy.

Dude - your scaring me! That is hilarious! Very nice shot of Pete! lol

BTW - I wasn't worried about John sharing - he always does. I just think that the scene at this house tonight is going to be comical.

You da man Mike,

well......

Just got back from grabbing a bite to eat, and it seems that the weather has thrown a curveball. Its windy and COLD out there! Lets see what John comes back with.

Looks like the weather is changing for the weekend too. seems like its going to be a bit cooler than originally expected.

...so much for temps approaching 70 like they said earlier in the week......I bet it will be frosty that morning!

Poor people who think they are going to get any clues on What to do SAT! LOL....

yes, it is windy, and yes it is cold, and NO I didn't go to Maho as planned......myself and other individuals involved decided to pass based on Weather info.....

keep in mind, that I have not had ONE single moment on Maho this season, where I wasn't ridiculoulsy buffeted about by the winds.....I didnt feel like another one....cold, I could have taken, up to 10MPH, I would have handled....but the combo of cold, sprinkles and 15 plus combined with the poor fishing and low water put the kibosh on for me...

sorry, I really did want to do a soup to nuts writeup, really.......

NOEL: if I could bundle up, go on one of your waters at this time of the year and find a mother lode of smallies to catch, I would do it in a heartbeat...

Maho right now is a tough proposition: last SAT, at a tournament there, 20 of the areas BEST anglers turned in a total of 11 fish!!!

there is a big difference between enduring elements and catching fish and enduring elements and catching next to nothing.....

If I really wanted to fish yesterday, I could have taken my Jon to Wampus where I would have cashed in weather or otherwise....truth to tell, I enjoyed the day off......

Amen to that.

Now I need to decide if I'm fishing Monday which could be raining with winds and possibly thunder (but warmer) or Friday which will be cold like today but no rain......

It's a crap shoot this time of year.

How do you know the fishing was slow, you didn't go!!! Conditions can change dramatically in a few days time. You could've missed the best fishing of the year!! LOL!!!
