Usually a good numbers lake after the first of October, today was tougher even though the weather was beautiful. For me at least it seems that Fall fishing is always better when it is uncomfortable. Cold, drizzle and wind make for better fishing. Today was the opposite. Generally we each had about 20 lmb per boat today. We fished 8am - 2:30. Water was 44 and a little dingy. We fished 5 bucks for lunker. Jay Jay had one just under 4, and I had one right around three. My fish came on cranks and hula grubs. cranks shallow and the hulas on heavy heads in 15 plus. Very light bite today. Still not bad when you consider three boats, five fisherman and sixty keepers or so. Well John I will winterize the boat this week although the Weather Channel tells me not to. Mitch: 20 fish per boat at this time of the year is excellent! that must be some lake when it is "on".....

I really hope to fish that water with you next season.....
