Paging GM Duquette... Paging GM Duquett...

The Met fans are in the lobby and they want to talk to you...

Are the Mets talking to Millwood? Who if not him can join our rotation?

What about Cameron in center or even Randy Winn for that matter?

Will they tweak Reyes at such a pivotal point in his career and move him to second?

Should we use Reyes as trade bait if they are hell bent on this new " Matsui" at short?

What does Cinci want for Griffey ...

What does KC want for Beltran ...

What does Anehiem want for Troy Glauss ...

Will anyone take Cedeno?

Whose gonna lead off?

What are we gonna do for a closer and how are we gonna fill out the set up relief staff?

A little help here, please!!!!!!

This whole slow paced calculated stuff is killing me...

For a team that stunk up the field all season, you would think something would happen???

Oh wait.... this is not the yanks, who at least try to put a good team on the field. This is the "other" New York team... hmmm.... Oh yeah, the Mets.

Whatever the Yanks don't want or need Duquette can have.

Bergen Record: "According to a top Mets' official, the team has made three-year offers to Japanese shortstop Kazuo Matsui and Seattle free agent center fielder Mike Cameron."

New York Daily News: "Mets GM Jim Duquette has been in the Dominican Republic the past few days and part of his time has been devoted to talking with Jose Reyes about a position change. The Mets have made an offer to the Japanese free agent Kaz Matsui, and if they land him they'll need Reyes to play second base next season. It's unclear exactly how a switch to the other side of the infield would affect Reyes, but Mets captain John Franco isn't in favor of the move."

Chris, moving Reyes to Second or third isn't all a bad idea....convincing him to do it should be easy....if he plays for 5yrs.....he'll be a shortstop at 25. Now, I don't know anything about Matsui but do you think it might be a smokescreen for a bigger fish like A-Rod?

Wigginton could move to either second or remain at third.
Who's on first? Phillips? Piazza? Either way we won't have a star first baseman but both would be adequate.

I'd like Griffey if the price was small but he is so injury prone....He needs to drink more water to prevent those Hammies from snapping.

I'm with you on Millwood...at 28 he's a horse
How about Colon....I do not think the Yanks will try for him mow that they made their moves. The Met's do have a chance to do some good and I'm not all convinced that the Yanks move was the one they wanted. I think they gave up way too much for a below .500 pitcher who could turn out to be Weaver II. I think they were backreeling due to the signing for Schill's to Boston...damage control. Why didn't that Yanks go for Colon?

I agree something has to be done but maybe there is a reason for the silence.

way too quiet, and not a bit of urgency , again, for a team that looked really bad at the end of the season......

it is certainly bothering me also.....mets have held off because they don't want to have to give draft choices as compensation for front tier free agents that are signed before 12/7.......

Met's have no management, no money to compete with the likes of George. The Met's are at best a minor league team playing in the majors. There's apparently no rush to sign any top prospects.

I feel bad for the fans, as it's another cellar dwellar season to come. I feel bad for Ranger fans, Jet Fans and Knick Fans. Thank god for the Yankees last 6 years, it at least kept New York as a competitve sports town.

Met's get Milwood, A-Rod and a speedster at the top of the line up and you may get a wild card berth. I would love to see a subway series in the next few years. That by far was one of the most exciting series to date for a New Yorker.

In Vegas we have no baseball, but lots of warm sunshine weather. 70 today and sunny as it is everyday.

Frank, why do the Mets need a speedster at the top of the order don't they have one Roger Cedano(sp),he's as fast as they come it's just to bad you can't steal first.LOL. I hear this year Mo is going to come in shape to camp......of course he has been saying that for the last FIVE seasons.
