They work pretty good as long as you know how to properly use a jerk bait, but i'm pretty much a fan of all the sexy shad series, They run around 6ft deep and have decent action, i'd swap the hooks out, but they're pretty decent as is. Hope this helps.
Have two (still in the box). They have a close look to the slender pointer. The yellow perch pattern looks real good. I got that one and and the clear water minnow for my son in laws stocking but I will have some for spring.
They seemed really nice. When I marshaled Andy Montgomery on the second day of the elites this past summer at Oneida he showed me that Jerkbait. He told me it wasn't out yet; but the one he had is not in the color schemes pictured above. He had it matched to his favorite Megabass colored jerkbait but he said SK was coming out with that color...hmmm I may have to call him about that because he caught some good smallies on it at the event.
No its not that color. I called him last night. They havent released that color yet but sk made some specifically for the oneida event. Hes gonna hook me up with two of them.
$9 for a strike king? For a couple of bucks more you could get a Spro. I like strike king lures, but not sure I'd pay more than $4-6 for them. I'd have to see these baits in person because I'd buy one for $9. Of course KVD will probably win the classic with one and they'll be worth $30-50 on ebay for a few months.
For a couple dollars less, you could get a Luck E Strike RC STX Jerkbait that'll fish as good as a MegaBass (And you can get 3 Luck E Strike's for the price of one MegaBass) even on Oneida lake in the summertime.
I saw them at Bass Pro yesterday. They looked really nice
