What your opinions on the best crankbait rod, preferable a baitcaster and under 100 bones. I will most throw kvd 1.5 and 2.5, red eye shads, shad raps, and some bomber a longs, thanks!

depending on the weight of your red eyes,

up to 1/2 or 5/8.......it's hard to beat the St Croix Premier PC70MM

from 3/8 to 1 oz......better step up to the PC70MHM

at an average price of a buck twenty, it puts you a hair over your limit, but well worth
it in my opinion.......

I wasn't a big crankbait guy, but always had this rod on my deck and used it a hell of
alot more than I care to admit......had no problem landing fish over the 5 lb mark during
a tournament with the 70MM....the soft tip keeps 'em buttoned up nicely.

Basspro shops crankin stix is the best crankbait rod for the $$$$$$$$$$$
If you are using red eyes in grass then use a reg 7'0 rod

Consider a Browning Silaflex Trigger Rod from Bass Pro Shops. Medium action, all fiberglass, for $49. I have a spinning version, and it is worth the money. Looks to be made well.
