Will this be the sole means oF propulsion? What kind of boat. Is your typical outing a few hours or all day? The price of lead makes $100 a tough target but these other questions need to be answered first.

just my opinion

i have always bought sears batteries anytime i had to replce one or get some for the boat - the die-hards - there are plenty of GREAT batteries out there BUT i just go with what has worked for me - i have 3 of the marine platnums on my boat (have had for 3 years) hooked up to a on board charger and have NEVER been caught with-out power- i also have a marine die-hard that was around $99.00 for my small rowboat with a motor guide AGAIN no problems!

most of the sears stuff has a great warranty as well

again just a recommendation - i have had good luck with them and i tend not to fix what isn't broken
