NY Knicks fire Scott Layden and hire Isiah Thomas to replace him.

Just shows how the Dolans know much about basketball.

the Knicks are going nowhere...

an amazing turn of events! I couldn't stand Layden, and he was about to give the coach the boot.....

one of the biggest surprises of the season...

however: Chaney is still not that safe....
and while we are at it: what's up with that consant puss on Layden's face?

he looks like he is walking around with a pine cone up his arse all the time.....

what is his PROBLEM? what need wasn't satisfied when he was a kid? LOL....would love to sit in on a hypnosis session with this dude in a psychiatric office!

he left us in a sorry mess.......I don't know how Isaiah is going to do it, but cap-wise, the Knicks are royally screwed....going to take some bold ingenious moves, like, perhaps trading Allan Houston......and don't say he is untradeable......they are really going to have stetch the limit in their imagination to relieve this logjam......

same with Thomas....who the fudge does he think he is comlaining about starting or not?? what is his NBA legacy? he hasn't done jackshite in this league on any sort of consistent basis to even merit opening his angry mouth......his only legacy at this point is fouling out....

what the Knicks lack more than anything else is a guy to do the ugly work, the little things that win games that don't necessarily show up in the stats....when he wasn't injured,Marcus Camby was that kind of player....

Oakley was a classical example of that type of player......

what the NETS have is one player who does it both: I am talking about K-mart.....because not only does he do the dirty work, but he puts up impressive numbers also....

but we sorely lack that kind of personality.....

Sprewell had it, but he also carried a ton of excess baggage with him and was hopelessly playing out of position.......
See less See more
sorry Joe, I just don't put Thomas in that category: it's not that he doesn't play hard, but he plays stupid.....
Thomas always had a good jumper, he averaged something like 26 to 28 points a game in college......
