they just cant resist can they?
they all have to grab at a chance to sink into managerial blunderville!!!
they just announced that Beckett WILL be starting game number 6 on short rest....
despite numbers that show short rested pitchers have lost their games in over 70 percent of all post season games, every baddass out there thinks that his man is the exception to the rule.......
fine.......if he guts it out and they win, he will be the hero......
but what I think will happen is that he will make one or two key mistake pitches due to tiredness, and the Yanks will capitalize on those mistakes......
Petitte has to keep the score down....they WILL get to the overused Beckett.....
and then he will have to go to game number seven with a melange of various arms, many tired also......
with the lead in the series, and with REAL confidence in my best man, I would want my best man fully rested to do the most damage....
if I were BEHIND 3 to 2, then I might look at it from a different perspective.....
