Fished Lilly again this past Mon, it was overcast most of the day, water clarity was about 3ft a little less that the last time we were there. I was surprised the water temps were 68-69 degrees. Fishing was a little tougher, no picture worthy fish we managed 7 bass total for the day, 1 LMB that was 3lb, all others were smallies about 1- 1 1/2 lbs, caught about 1/2 dozen huge crappie, tons of rock bass etc. We saw some fish locked on beds could not get them to bite spent an hr on one nice LMB with nothing to show for it. Again, fished tubes, senkos, ned rigs, tried some cranks and spinners. The bait of the day was was a Zman Hula Stick of a 1/10 Finesse Bullet jighead. This is my worst day on Lilly but still fairly productive. Not many boats, no seaplanes yet. Just great to get out and enjoy the scenery! Thanks for reading.
