Lebron James et al

NBA, Lebron James, etc.

Caught glimpses of a superstar in the making, first against the Kings and last night, against the Suns.

He'll score all day and night with an improved jump shot , but the passing and the boards skills are what's impressive. He looks comfortable playing , not at all forcing stuff.

Carmelo Anthony looked good too, last night. It should be an interesting ROY race.

Lakers with or without Kobe is just going to run amok all the way to the Finals. Mavs can score all they want, but no big man in the middle to clog the lanes, they will falter in the playoffs. Spurs are as solid as ever. Timberwolves with Spree can give the Lakers a run for their money, but Wally needs to provide consistent scoring.

THe Nets are not a shoo-in in the East. I like the Pacers with a maturing O'Neal. The Sixers, with a solid cast of veterans, will be tough. Vince-anity Carter is going for the scoring title with Toronto.

Unfortunately for Van Horn, he has to score 29 pts , like the last game, to shut up his critics. ...

James had 8 assists to go along with the points on opening night....

25 points and 8 assists for an opening rookie night??? unheard of........

except for Michael Jordan, who averaged 30 points a game in his rookie season...........
James looks good, real good. I agree about the jump shot thinking he improves that and look out. This is not james's fault but ESPN is way over covering his games at times not even showing the other team score even one basket and barely mentioning that his team lost. Wait untill Cleveland plays at home next week the hype will be crazy.
How about those commercials?.....

Yeah, Bink...2 losses....but Jordan didnt start winning until he got Pippen to help him out.....James needs a back up scorer to make that team win a few games.....what the hell is Darius Miles doing?.....NADA!....
Joe...after we are done fishing on Saturday...I challenge you to a one on one. LOL!
ahhh...there ya go, John.....watch what youre saying....I could shoot like the best of them.....
I don't think I have played in over 4 years. I would probably cramp up and pass out! LOL! I would just attempt to rain jumpers down on you. We will make it a shooting contest then!
looking good for a new jack
actually, I could probably kick ALL of your asses in a one on one......LOL......
Hey guys, how about it......a game or two of pick up b-ball. 2on 2 or whatever?....anyboady knows a gym we can use?

Couple of games a month can make the winter go by fast. Plus it'll be a good workout and healthy....

Joe
Jeez, my Celtics lost again at home against the hornets....Lafrentz on the IL, looks like that Walker deal is looking bad each game the Celts play. One good thing is, Pierce is playing more like a team player. Baker played not so well tonight.....

Checking out the Detroit/Memphis game and watching Paul Gasol. Man, for a 7 fter, he is as fluid and quick as a small forward. And the looooong arms.....looks like Memphis is playing good for Hubie....

joe
I love all the response you got for your pickup games! LOL.....

would be fun, but for me, would have to be half court.....
Hey, John...most people got no game......what can I say?....:D

Definitely, half court......
HAHAHAAH......yeah, concessions to age.....but you cannot leave me alone for the outside shot, I can still kill on that......
John,
Your mustard shirt will only give you super powers on the water white bread!!!! LOL
oh Master trainer, verily, ye hast spoken!

HAHAHAHHAHAh.........

this is one white man who USED to jump! LOL....
Carmelo Anthony looked good too, last night. It should be an interesting ROY race.
James is more of a complete player than some believed he would be at this point. A number of analysts had predicted Carmelo would win ROY, but he has some catching up to do. James leads him in all the major categories, except Carmelo has him in rebounds, 7.0 to 6.5. And James is shooting 44% to Anthony's 34%. I hope Carmelo can step it up, since I'm a fan of his because I'm a Syracuse fan.
the Memphis Grizzlies are quite an entertaining bunch so far, they beat my sorry Celtics in boston the other day.......Nets are down 3rd quarter now........in the Meadowlands....Bonzi Wells will help them a whole lot....
Joe, The C's are a very Sorry lot right now. Still like the trade?
hey Bink..did you hear what Obi said today?.....Lafrentz and Battie are so f-cked up now that they cant do practises anymore this season....they can only play during actual games....

Man...what the hell is Ainge doin?.....yeah...that trade is not looking good at all.....Looks like Obi's gonna get the boot soon....

And if Mr Byron Scott doesnt win games soon...he'll be out the door too....the Nets lost to a young, quick Memphis tonight...in NJ....
