It's been a few years at Rockland , since boat rentals were available other than the touring style kayaks I think they're called . All I know if locally is Hessian lake at Bear Mountain that have row boat rentals .


At FDR State Park you can rent boats to launch at Mohansic lake

Hessian , has been tough for me except for times when it rained . It can be also tough managing the padestrians along terrain or especially during the weekends. Only way to boat there is renting . RayC has done well there by boat .
I agree with you regarding Rockland early pad crash'n for some nice shore line bass'n . Mohansic off the beaten path .
