Wandy -- FYI: The Kistler Helium comes with a much shorter handle than most rods on the market.

Yes, Kistler Helium is expensive but all premium rods are.....

Have you looked at the 6' Spinner Bait Pitchin' Stick ?
It's on sale for $89.99 and has a 7" handle (10" is common).

Also, you might be interested to know that Kistler will custom build a rod to your spec for an additional $20.00 over the cost of the rod.....I confirmed this with Trey Kistler in a recent conversation.
