Wasn't thrilled when I arrived at the reservoir yesterday to find the water level significantly drawn down. Impact on the fishing was predictably negative. Surprised that I'm the first to mention it here.

I called the DEP & they said Kensico will be down at least two feet for the next couple of months as they are doing some work over at shaft 18. This should not effect the spawn as long as the water stays at that level & does not fluctuate. Launching your rowboat will be more difficult though.😄

fishing being down is not necessarily from the draw down: Kensico usually lags behind other waters of the system: when they are in post spawn mode, that is when Kenisco really comes alive....but yes, lower water levels could have an effect, especially, if it fluctuates as Marty pointed out.
