The Avery and Mahood show LOL. we showed up to the ramp at charles ryder park with the wind blowing and snow flurries falling we blast off at 730am with a low turn out for united bass anglers final buddy tourney. Well me and Joe headed for roundout and the water seemed be perfect clarity for our patterns. I stick a 3+lrgmouth on a crankbait right away then I get another 3lber on a wackycraw then I get a 2lber with a tube all in 20min after our first pass down our bank Joe brushhogs a 4.14lb bass(tourney lunker) and backs that up with another 2lber . I crank up 2 more fish now we have a limit of 7 fish And me and Joe just destroy them from this point with jigs and tubes by the end of the day we hook about 25 keepers and are culling 3lb fish . well with a 1/2hour to go in the tourney our boat wont start Oh No but we end up getting a jump from some guys fishing a tourney with hudson vally bassmasters (man did they save our butts). we end up with 7 bass wieghing 23lbs 10 ounces WHAT A WAY TO END THE SEASON 2nd place was 12lb and change. 5bass

hudson

Cub we where in the creek the water was stained in some areas and muddy in others we found some clearer water and camped out on a short stretch of bank all day. other guys where fishing roundout and caught some fish but from what I was told they could not catch Qaulity fish . We never turned the front fishfinder on so I do not know water temp but we froze our butts off with the air temp and that wind never stopped blowing all day

Don't sacre me like that! I have to fish a NYSBCF tourney there, next summer, but have never been there before. You don't make the Hudson sound too promising.:D

Great job on your tournament. Isn't it great when everything is clicking on all cylinders??:)

C'ya on the water,

Way to go

Nice Job Mike! I was out yesterday too and can attest to how cold it was! You guys did even better than we did up in Catskill even though we were live baitin' (did I say live bait?) . We had about 25 keepers (24 smallies, 1 largemouth) but the biggest smallie was about 3.5.

Water temps in the main river were about 45 and about 42 in the creek. Water was clearing up in the creek but was dirtier by the mouth.

If the weather holds, I'll be back in 2 weeks...smallies should be on fire by then.
