Welcome to the madness FLB!
The boat in the picture is an Xpress X54. Its the newer model of my X51. Both are 17' aluminums. They are really good boats. Dont take my word for it though...I am biased. LOL
As far as BPS coming to Auburn---go ahead--rub it in. LOL

Hey FingelakesBassr, welcome to the board. Lots of us visit those larger Finger Lakes, as well as most of the smaller ones around them to. You will definitely see some reports from Seneca and Cayuga next year, as my club has a points tx on both of them. Hopefully, you will see reports from Seneca in March and April, when the perch are really on.

Finger: the guys on this board from WNY who fish the fingerlakes are absolutely one of the nicest group of people to ever frequent NYBass....Noel, who just answered you, is an excellent angler, but you will NEVER hear one word of conceit or whatever from him, as well as many of his compadres......they are very helpful to newbies without being condescending, I do not allow that much here...

you , of course, are also an experienced angler.... I think you will enjoy the exchanges here and the comradeships.....many of our members meet in regular get togethers.....

Hey there!

An "Ovid-ite!"

I live right up 96A from you, in Geneva, so its nice to meet someone from nearby. Although I duck off the board for a while in the winter months, I do check in from time to time. You'll find this crew to be a nice bunch of guys and gals with a deep respect for bass fishing. But certainly meet up with us for the annual Perch outing on Seneca, usually around Easter. Half the fun is getting together at Parkers afterwards!

Anyway, welcome to the board, Happy Holidays!

What's the annual perch outing? Let's see now... High wind, ocean-like waves, swamped boats, GangGreen going for a swim.... And that was all just last year!

Oh, the outing is a grand ol' time! Come on out, you'll love it!

Parker's is a really cool bar in Geneva that we go to afterwards. Great selection of beers, good food and an alarming number of lesbians.

:D

We usually launch out of Roy's Marina 3 miles south of Geneva, but a few of us have launched from Sampson or the Geneva launch. All off our fishing is done north of Dresden.

As far as power launching signs, I believe the DEC has posted them in all of the state launches.

Finger, The DEC put the power loading signs up at all of the launches, but it is not enforcable or law. More of an annoying suggestion. The NY Federation looked into this one, and it is not a law on the books. Power loading is the only way to use a "drive on" trailer.

Welcome

Welcome to the board

I went to the perch outing last year for the first time and had a blast. Went out with Fred on his boat.

We did catch a variety of fish as well as a few of the famous jumbo perch.

Everyone was very gracious and I am looking forward to maybe a hard water outing soon.
