Has anyone done any recent hand line fishing recently?

Does any have any personal experience with the "Flip Reel" ?

How well does it handle for shore fishing? Does it work as easy as the videos show?

Should the line to replaced immediately, etc?

So have you ever used one or not?

I was asking for opinions from people who have used it &/or still use it. I included the link for those that may not remember/know the name. Also for those that may have used a similar product that they could possibly compare it to.

Iv'e never used one but I'm sure it works fine. Not exactly high tech. My thoughts are if you're looking to get down to the basics of hand lining why not just use an old Soup can or wooden dowel with a rubber band and save the 20 bucks??

^- Based on what I read and seen through videos, I decided to give it a try.

As for the price I managed to get two for the price of one including shipping cost. :) I liked the built in safety design feature. I'm giving one as a gift to a family member that sorta likes fishing. If he can catch a fish using this, I believe he would want to go fishing all the time. lol
