Be respectful to others. Disrespectful posts will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be warned or banned at the moderators' discretion. This also relates to "digs" and negative innuendo towards other members. If you have a problem with a member or moderator, please deal with it off the board. If you have a question or problem with the way something's been moderated, please PM a moderator. DO NOT CALL OUT MODERATORS OR MEMBERS ON THE BOARD PUBLICLY. There are too many misunderstandings that happen on an internet forum. More often than not, conflicts are easily settled when dealt with in private.

Regarding signatures: If you're a pro-staffer of a current NYBASS sponsor, you are allowed to put a link to their website in your signature. If you are a pro-staffer of a NON-SPONSOR, you may NOT put a link to the company, however, you can write the company's name in your signature. The same goes for representatives from companies: you may NOT link to or place an image representing your company in a post. Just the name.

No posting threads blatantly promoting a non-sponsor product or purposely bashing a sponsor product. You may discuss anything related to bass fishing here at NYBASS and that includes discussion of any products related to bass fishing, but please don't start threads for the sole purpose of promoting a product, unless you're a sponsor and it's in the Sponsor Forum.

Members are not allowed to create secondary user accounts. This is often done to mask a person's identity and will not be tolerated and will result in an instant ban.

NO POLITICAL THREADS at NYBASS. If you want to discuss politics, please go to a political website.

Contacting a member through NYBASS to solicit a product, service, to bash another member or to join another website is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban from NYBASS.

There is a short window of time for editing a post after you create it, so make sure if you write something, you're ready for it to be seen by the public. For longer posts, it's a good idea to create them in a word processing program or browser with a spell check feature first, before posting. Also, if you post something in the FOR SALE forum, please don't ask a Moderator to delete or edit it if the price has changed or if it is sold. Just reply in the thread with the changes.

Last but not least, the administrators of NYBASS reserve the right to remove any member at any time from the forums if they deem necessary.

That's about it. Enjoy NYBASS and remember that we are the friendliest bass fishing forums on the internet. There are members of all ages, races and religions here so please be respectful when posting.

Thanks!

I've added a line about the editing posts.
