Broken hand+Killer Komet+Bagley's Honey B= Fall Frenzy

Any way you do the math, it all adds up to fun.

I was just itching to go out and made it my days mission to get on the water. Not knowing what I was capable of, I stuck with a Killer Komet Spinnerbait in Ozark Shiner on my 6ft light BPS Bionic Blade, Stradic 1000FH with 6lb Fireline......I didn't want to retie at all. Anyway, the bass were on fire from 8 to 9am. I took 4 fish over 18" mixed in with about another 25 or so before the action ebbed. I switched rods to a 5ft Galyan's Titanium IM8 UL with my Tica SB500 and YoZuri 4lb. I threw a Fall Craw colored Bagley's Honey B. About my 5th cast was met with a thump but it felt different than the bass I was catching earlier. Sure enough it was a monster of a yellow perch 16". I continued to alternate between bass and perch but no truly big bass on the crankbait. A great few hours of fishing. I thought my season was lost when I broke my hand.

Joe, they were all over it. two of the fish I had were over 20". I dropped one fish as big. All of this in less than an hours time then, they just shut down until I changed it up. It was likely my best big bass day of this season. Who'd a thunk it? I'm going back either Mon. or Wed. What bait did you use? The Honey B is very small. Likely 1/8oz or 3/16oz. Gregg, I wear black Reeboks that have a velcro strap at the high top. I can't really tie my laces w/o a ton of effort, so I don't.
