Craig...

You shared a few Hookerz hooks with me when I met you this past summer at Forge which I was duly impressed with.

You told me so, and from veiwing the Hookerz site, I see that they offer a EWG style hook marketed by them.

How does their sizing compare to the EWG by the "G" company...Close, bigger a bit, or smaller a bit?
Please advise...I want to order some, but I have found in the past with other brands, hook size from company to company is not always the same. Is there anywhere on LI that sells them where I could physically see them to compare sizes?? To me, they look like great hooks at a bargain price, almost 1/2 the price of "G" hooks.
You input is greatly appreciated....

Oh yeah, and what was that RED offset-shank hook with the odd shaped bends??

The sizing is almost exact to Gammie. In fact its the same stock and might be made in the smae factory. Did I give you one of those red hooks? OOOOP's. I'm not sure of the name but it is like a sickle type hook. Very good! I do not know if they are being produced yet. It was a proto during the summer.

Craig, those matzuo-style sickle hooks are very good. I would love to get some 1/8 and 1/4 ounce tube jig heads with the sickle hooks. I used Hookerz almost exclusively last summer and plan on getting a big order this winter to prep up for next spring.
Happy Holidays, ScottB

Earthy??

anyone selling and stocking Hookerz here on Long Island?? Do you?? Or do I need to get them direct from Jason at Hookerz? As I have no RUSH need for them,
is anyone interested in 'pooling' an order together to split the shipping costs??

I probably will get 50 packs in two sizes of their EWG hooks....like 5/0 and 3/0 to start....anyone here want to split 50 packs??

50 packs? Bill: you planning to stick some fish or what! HAHAHHAHAHHA.....

Craig: were they at Scul's little sell-a-thon thingy last year?

if they were, Bill, you might just pick them up in person...every winter, Scully has a swap meet of sorts where people have "booths", tables to be exact, and anyone can sell their wares, from old to new.....Craig was represented there last year, bought various hair jigs from him.

[email protected]'re killing me...LOL:D Thanks for the heads up....

JohnG, these past two seasons of mine have been extremely shortened due to my wife having been fighting Cancer. Thank God she is doing well now and all looks good again, after several surgeries and Chemotherapy, with me there for her everyday and trip to Drs or chemo, and nursing her back through it all.

Yeah, I hope to be making some postponed trips, and some regular ones, too....I fish a lot of soft plastics, and at these prices....between the Pics[kerel], the sticks, and the nicks, I'd save a bundle by buying them that way.....LOL

Craig, if you are planning to have a booth then, you know what I want....maybe even a 25 of 1/0, too. A smaller one of size 2, also...I'll let you know beforehand.

Like I said....no rush on them....

Hey Wildman....

Bill,
If there's anything you might need from Hookerz terminal please let me know,I am happy to help you out and as part of Jays pro-staff I have a good idea of some things he has that hasn't been updated on the site yet.
-Red sickle style hooks
-3X EWG flipping hooks(awesome for soft jerks)
-Killer sharp trebles(coming soon)
I'm sure Craig could answer your ?'s but I'd imagine he's busy with his own company as well.
Big fan of the 50 pks myself, never without the hook you need and plenty to share.
By all means mention my name when ordering from Jay,He loves to throw in some extra goodies when he has them on hand.
The shipping from CT to LI is minimal,I believe 3$.The savings in hooks kinda wipes that out anyway when your doing 50 packs.

If anyone has ?'s about Hookerz terminal feel free to post or PM me and I'll do my best to help get you what is needed,Thanks.

Bill,My best to your wife and wish her an easy recovery,God Bless...><>...HS

Thanks guys !!

JohnG....not 50 packs...but rather packs with a 50 count.
At the bulk prices, they are much cheaper, so I may get a year or two out of a [50]box, hopefully, aand as Hooked alluded to, I share many hooks too. I use a couple of different sizes, depending upon my softplastic's size and diameter.
50 hooks for 10.99....seems like deal to me.

Hmmm...Hooked, you got my attention now.
1] 3X wires, I guess would be like the Superline G hooks, or am I wrong?
2]The sycle hook looks interesting, but I have tremendous confidence in the EWG design. I have seen the sycle, but not tried it much yet. When or why do you find the Sycle design to shine??

What's up Bill? Those sickle bend hooks are supposed to be harder for the bass to throw with those slight bends in it. I must say, The hookerz hooks I've used this year were incredible. I bought a 50 pack of 3/0 EWG and had no problems with them. Comparing these hooks and gammies right next to each other, the only difference that I could tell was that when the hook bend up on a right angle,(you know the straight part with the barb), Hookerz seems to be slighty shorter on the straight part. I have used them in most of my tournys this season without a complaint. In fact these hooks have made me a better fisherman at times. When you see a stick up and say I'll never get it back from there so sometimes you pass. With the quantities at that awesome price it gave me more fearlessness to go in after those bass and resulted in quite a few nice sized bass that probably would have been passed on. As far as ordering with them goes, I ordered 4 packs of hooks varying styles from 50 to 10 count and received a free pack of tiki worms and a small hook sampler packer with a few tube jig heads and other goodies. I'm surely a satisfied customer and will definetly be ordering more 3/0 EWG's soon. - Joe
