My eyes have been opened to the jig n pig this fall and it has been my best lure as the water temps drop. Also good in the fall are slow moving baits that make noise/thump/rattle/displace water like:

large rattling cranks
colorado bladed spinneraits (single and #4 or bigger work best)
suspending/rattlin jerkbaits (I like Rapala's Husky Jerk)
tubes with internal jigheads/rattles

Those have been best for me when the water is in the 45-55º range...

Excellent......my Missouri Roadkill is actually very close to Erie Green, its just that I'd never to Erie before so I didn't feel comfortable calling it Erie Green.

Gary, I love catching them on jigs but there is just something about nailing a 5+ on that finesse gear that keeps me coming back to it........not in a tx that is.

Jig from 1/4 to a full Oz or the 3/4 Pickup in Brown/Purple/Blue. Tail end driven by a No. 11 Uncle Josh Pork in Purple or Brown. Clear water has you may have it in NY with Cooch's color (Green). Bill, you know all the West Coast combination's and probably have some from the WEST Coast.

Use youpr imagination William, You know are secret's in Modifing a perfectly Good Snag Proof Frog. HAR HAR HAR!!!!!!! The Barrack Special???????

Did I get you too THINK

Great answers guys !! Thanks !!

yup, you all assured me I have been doing the right things, just not finding the bass , I guess, on the past two outings for me, Toothy crotters , yes, fun, but not my targeted specie. Other than the Silver Buddy, and the Froggie[thanks for that point, and dig, Rich]:D {LOL}, I have been using most of the arsenal of baits and techniques mentioned, just 'skunking' on Bass.
Times are tough, and I must get tougher...lol
Hopefully, I'll break the jinx soon...Thanks for all the input!!
