Has any one been out on one or the other recently?
Got the day off tomorrow and if this warmer weather holds (56 in Manhattan right now!) I plan on trying to get a few hours in.
It'll be worth it just to get outside for a while. Let you know how it works out.

funny you should mention canaan. i went there today from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. didn't catch anything, but did get lots of bites-all pickerel. some small, some pretty big. just couldn't hook them. i was using a fat ika, fishing the north end of the lake. i was gonna go tomorrow, but my f*cking boss is taking the day off, so i'm the acting supervisory tomorrow. screws up my plans, i was gonna go there again. i may try to sneak there for an hour lunch time. if you go, good luck. post a report on how you do.

i checked out the north entrance and remembered i came here about 4 years ago when i was living in lindenhurst. now i live on the same street. will be wading around the north side

Canaan today

I went out for a few hours today. Stayed until my hands began to hurt. Left just after two so probably missed you Chewy. Next time....

Basically got skunked, but, had a cigar, a cup of coffee, and a fishing rod in my hands. It was a good day!
Got to try out a few new lures, and practice casting. Nothing wasted.

Weather turns good, I'll be out again. Maybe we'll meet up one of these days.

wound up doing more stuff on this house again. cant remember a weekend this fall that i was able to relax!

What's that mean????? I've got the same problem.
Got to make a little time for yourself...... Fortunately, my kids are grown. That only leaves the Mrs. to contend with. LOL.
