Hey guys -

Was on CR for a couple hours Sunday (uneventful!! LOL!)... seems like the storms whipped up that place a bit. The were 2-3 boats that had a part of a tree/huge branch drop on them in area 2. I didn't take pics or numbers - but it was located to the left of the main path into area 2 - about half way down right in the main storage area / walking path. The one boat covered the most looked like a 12 foot V with a tag from 2012.

A huge thick rotten part of a tree broke off and dropped right next to my boat as well - no damage - but if you have a boat on CR might wanna check as there were a few new laydowns around the shoreline as well - so likely trees/branches dropped elsewhere as well.

yeah, Jason, it is a mess over there in that site, for sure...fortunately, Gregg and I weren't affected as our boat was in a safe position....and yes, the fishing has been extremely tough over there, despite the weeds in that base cove looking spectacular, as well as the weeds across the cove all in and around Island #1......

next time on there we will concentrate on deeper spots....

Funny you mention that - that was first time I've been at CR in months - thought the weeds looked fabulous in many places - green and healthy... but empty of bites.

Something weird going on this year in lower NY - haven't been to a reservoir where there was a weed bite this year... don't understand why each reservoir is acting this way as I'd think each place is different enough to have different patterns - but if I've found one consistent pattern it's been leave the heavy weed gear at home!!!

Agree on deeper - next time out I'm not bringing a setup with line heavier than 10lb Floro!!!
