Ben bought out Hal and now owns Brookcove Marine . Ben has been Hals mechanic for a long time and now owns Brookcove and he now is a service center for Merc and Evinrude and Johnson and also Yamaha and soon he will be carring basscat and champion boats. The best part is Ben makes bassboats a priority when they come in for service.And his prices are very very good. Hal ruined the BrookCove business

that is why great guys like Steve left and why Ranger dropped them as a dealer. I wish the new owner good luck but first impressions are ever lasting.

From what I understand Steve left because he and Hals wife and the secretary did not see eye to eye. I bought my first boat from steve and Steve now is a basscat rep who is now affiliated with Bens Brookcove. As far as Ranger and Brookcove go Hal had to keep a few boats on hand to be a Ranger dealer but from what I understand Hal got stuck with to many leftovers He was not getting rid of the boats and you pay for those boats so Hal was taking some big losses. Hal was one of the most honest men I have ever met in the boating industry and I dont Think many people would disagree with that statement but like you said the bad taste is there for you and Ben is trying to change that with Honest Hard work. 5bass

I posted it because they will be selling champion and basscat boats and it is just another oppurtunity for people to get there boats fixed . It seems like it is the only spot that involves boats. Hey Woody whats up with you having a negitive comments everytime I post something LOL . 5bass
