nah, not in fishing, though I sure wish it were so in current state of year.....

what I did do though was get through a long 5 day Thanksgiving vacation , that included 3 major family dinners, plus a Wedding, plus several lunch outs, and with all of that:

I MANAGED TO LOSE ONE POUND!!!

lol......really though, I am really proud of this..... I sat in company and watched people eating all sorts of sweet goods and refrained....

also put 4 quality workouts in there ........

I am on a very special diet, I kind of call it a high calorie diet, in that I am right on the edge of eating what just a little further would cause you to simply maintain weight......it is designed to not lose too much lean tissue as I begin to get into what I want to be in terms of shape, fat wise........as such: I have zero leeway with goodies, and on this particular diet, I can't even have, say, one cookie, or one scoop of ice cream, etc and so on......I am eating just below the threshold that I hope will allow me to lose weight at the low rate of only one pound a week maximum......after a couple of months of this, I wouldn't even mind if it drops to one pound every two weeks.......

my goal? to compete in an over 50 natural bodybuilding event late in the fall next year! I know, sounds ridiculous, but it has been some 25 years since I last did that, was a gas and great experience, but then right after that I started having problems with injuries that eventually led to my extended layoff in my 30s......but this slow grinding and patient climb back from my 40th birthday on has now resulted in steady gains again in weight lifted, still nothing like my twenties, but gathering in intensity and sure feels a lot better than when I first started out again, where I was sore for a whole week just from pressing an empty bar! LOL......

so , 2004 will hopefully bring more to me than just fishing goals....long way to go, but I am psyched!!!

unfortuately for my Nybassers, I will have to bore you with the details every now and then HAHAHAHAH......

Good luck

I lift and run too, but only to stay in shape for my kid and hobbies.

... Oh, and the spandex and sweat on the ladies .... MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

All kidding aside, good luck and I hope you achieve your goals. Being a professional bodybuilder takes up ALLOT of your time.

whoa! never said anything about professional! LOL....couldn't even dream of that, even when I was a young un'.....wouldn't make the commitment to drugs that you have to even if I did have the genetics, which I obviously don't have! LOL....

Nicky, I will give you a buzz buddy......

Without exercise, at the rate you're going you might weigh a pound or so less by spring. At our age, just looking at a piece of cake adds a few ounces.

Fess up - what do you you weigh now (our baseline so to speak)?
This way we can keep pestering you for an updated weight.
The proof is in the pudding! (It's only a figure of speech John - no need to raid the fridge! LOL)

My baseline weight was 232 pounds, fully dressed on a doctors scale.....

I have gone down to 228, in a month, so far, keeping the one pound a week model that I set.......

keep in mind that I am only 5' 7 and 1/2 " tall......

according to the Insurance charts, I am off the wall obese....those that know me, know otherwise......

here is a shot of my back which is coming in very nice again....can't take any shots that show the stomach just yet! LOL......

Wait aminute. Are we starting to see some delts and lats and a waist?! LOL

No more will anyone be able to say, ''here comes Dr. Doughboy", but instead, "this guy can yank out my molars anytime!" (either gender).

Next spring, please don't go around flexing and saying, 'hasta la vista baby', or the rest of us pudgies will have to throw you in the water! LOL :D
