question for a friend selling a boat

A friend of mine in Warwick has a boat/motor which was given to him 2 years ago. He never uses it and would like to sell it. It's on a large Aluminum (22') that leaks. Circa 1970's, like a Great Lakes style boat. The motor is nice , a mid 90's yamaha 115. He's thinking of selling the motor and giving the boat away with it. I've been on the boat and the motor purrs nicely. He doesn't know what $$ to ask. Any ideas?

Check the Nada guide, it might give you a good idea what it's worth.

ebay can give you an idea on regional pricing too. this is the season to sell too. people will be looking for a quick buy. if someone gave it to him.. any halfway decent price should be good right. put it on eabay with a bunch of pics. offer an in water test localy, and pick up only instead of shipping.

I spoke with him last night. Looks like he'll be doing the ebay route. He's taking the motor to a marina to get serviced/checked out.
