Just getting start and want some bang for your buck.

Used but good condition Humminbird 798ci HD SI
You get down imaging and side imaging, GPS and waypoints

I have the head unit (power cord) and transducer with mounting bracket, Hard cover and mounting plate if you want to use a ram mounted.

What i don't have is any box or paper work but manuals can be downloaded on line .

Asking $200 can meet in Westchester or Manhattan will ship if have to but will add $20

What kind of battery does it use?

Any good 12V with a descent Ah will do

This is what I used for it. It was 16AH and it would last for two full days of fishing before I charge it

You could use this at 8Ah but between GPS and the rest you get about 6 hrs

The battery is in the black box and keep it stable all still in use but the head unit and gimbal plate is now a Helix 7

Bump for a great unit -

I have same setup - granted there are newer units - but you aren't gonna beat this for $200 with SI/DI/GPS.

I run a 10 ah Dakota Lithium... and even after a 10 hour day it doesn't put a dent in the battery capacity. Before that I ran a 10ah lead acid motorcycle battery - and got 3 years of use and would last 6-8 hours a day.
