All good points for discussion and you won't get a challenge out of me on anything you said.

I understand the East side wanting a something a little closer to home.

I also still ask everyone that's reading or commenting here to at least look at the possibilities and see if your favorite water & area Chamber of Commerce would be interested in sponsoring a Federation event.

We have approximately 80K in the account, and maybe that's something to address with the Executive Committee at our next meeting on Feb 27.

Possibly a proposal that futuer CTC's be funded at equal to or 5% greater than the mininmum sponsorship fee.

I've heard our current administration state time and again... tell us what you want and we'll work to achieve it.

It just might be time to address the CTC as that one special event we hold each year. I just toss that out there for all NYBCF member's consideration.

Bottom line is it's our Federation and in order to build on our existing quality progrmas for the benefit of all of our members it takes active participation from our membership.

It's time for everyone involved to stop, take a deep breath and move on. I think Burnie's last post really puts it into perspective as far as constructively addressing the FUTURE of CTC events. As for 2010 and Owasco Lake, let's put this into perspective. As Burnie once said to me..."this is just fishin". So stop for a minute and think about our world. Are you complaining about having an opportunity to go fishing with good company and enjoying the day? In a time when many of our young people find themselves in harms way in a strange land every day, in a time when many have been unemployed or underemployed for a year and longer, in a time when folks have lost their houses, life savings and many possessions, perhaps a location or timing or lake choice of being able to go fishing maybe aren't as big a crisis as we might like to think. So let's all be thankful that Mike and Jeff and Burnie and the rest are willing to spend the time and effort to give all of us a chance to go fishin and let's stop and take a moment to remember, thank and help all of those who find life a struggle right now.
