Met up with a buddy (sidechoke67) at a local pond so I could give him a quick lesson on baitcasting gear and loan him one of my rigs to try it out. I was showing him how to pitch a jig, and then the lesson got more complicated, LOL. "I think I felt a fish drop the jig." So I pitch back to the same spot. "If you feel something, get it right back in there. Ok, now I don't feel anything, so I'll set the hook....grunt, grunt, yeah, there's a fish! And its a big one!"
In summary: Pitch the jig, feel the bite, set the hook, reel in fish. Lesson complete.

Sorry about the blur and close crop, but this is a VERY small pond.
