Just a quick note on the Northern NY Bassmasters Tournament out of Waddington today.
I drew a fellow named Guy as my non-boater and after we fished two of my areas I had my limit and culled twice then Guy asked if I wanted to go look at some water he had. We took a boat ride, went to one of his areas and saw several nice 3-4 lb class SMB but just couldn't get them to commit.
We decided to go real shallow and see if there was anything in the weeds. Guy tagged a quality LMB on a Jig & Pig that came unbottoned onthe initial jump and about 10 minutes later I hit this rascal that held out for Lunker of the tournament.
Winning weight was over 17 lbs. by Al Omarah all SMB, then 15, and then Mike O'Hearn with 14 lbs for third.
This is the first tournament I've fished with this club, great bunch of guys and a lot of fun.
Thanks for reading
Burnie
