    A Tribute to a Dear Friend-JDC

First and foremost Thanks to Eric for starting such a wonderful post for our friend John.I also would like to thank the rest of you out there for your support and well wishes.I received the bad news this morning.John was found dead on the beach after suffering a massive brain seizure.Im still kindof in shock from the whole thing, but,i have found comfort during this tough time with Family,Friends and New York Bass.I want thank all of you and I will make sure that all of your well wishes are verbally delivered by myself, tomorrow to Johns Family.Well,I met John 28 years ago when he came over after school to check out a box turtle that a had recently caught. After that, aside from girlfriends,we have been attached at the hip and brain since. We always had our wildlife and fishing and it was an amazing run.now hes gonna have to wait another 45,yrs or so,till im good and ready ,so we can fish in the sky.For now,I feel like i have found some comfort in making a tribute to him with some photos of him when he was at his happiest. He was an amazing Family member,an unbelievable fisherman, and an irreplacable friend.RIP Johnny....Thanks for looking.

this a great way to commemorate your friend. i'm really sorry for your loss, bryan. it's good to know that you have so many great memories--including the ones that you posted. as with each one, i'm sure there's a great story/time that both of you shared and no one can ever take away from you.

    Sorry for your loss, Bryan.

I'm so glad I had a chance to meet and fish with him last week.
    I'll remember that day always.

This is a great tribute to a great guy.

    Bryan,
Mary and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of John, and we know how tight the two have been for so long, so our hearts go out to you, buddy.

John was lucky to have you as his friend, and likewise.

    bryan,
great pics. thanks for sharing them. from the point of view of someone who has never met john or yourself, its funny how a series of a dozen or so pictures can give one an idea of how neat of a person he was. also, how obviously a good friend he was to you, and you to him.

almost two years ago to the day, i also lost a best friend at way too early of an age. even after two years, i still find myself in disbelief and as sad as i was the day it happened. not an easy thing to deal with by any means, and it took quite some time before i could get over the loss and into the acceptance of such a thing.
somewhere along the line, i managed to get through the missing, and get to the point of learning to feeling lucky for the time and times i had with this friend.

i hope you can do the same.

nothing simple or natural about dealing with circumstances like this. lots of questioning, figuring, reflecting, and even anger come by to visit .
you have obviously had a great friendship with john. i hope that you'll be able to get through this and consider yourself blessed for the opportunity you have had to have him as a friend and fishing buddy.

    btw, i've gotta say...
that fifth picture down of john holding that huge smallie is just such a great picture in so many ways.
    again, thanks for sharing.

    Bryan,

Words at this time can't begin to express what I feel and what I know you feel. I fished with John and you a few times and know how he felt about the game. He will be missed by me. The phone conversations with him were always great. He was always so upbeat. You could sense his spirit for fishing even over the wires. Losing him at such an early age is tragic.

If you need to talk you know the line is always open.

This tribute to John in pictures is what John was about and I would like to add a few that I have.

    Rest in Peace John.

A great tribute to a great friend. I have been fighting off a good cry, but this did the trick. So, farewell to Johnny Snook, the bass blaster, the tarpon taker, the spinnerbait kid, the snatcher of serpents, and the quiet companion when you just wanted to sit there and look at the water...... he was pretty damn funny too, especially when he would take off on Brian.... lol.... RIP my man, I dont think I will make it another 45, so I will be on that boat fishing with him when you get to the lake in the sky Brian.... until then, he will be on every trip with us in spirit for a long time to come....

Chris & Eric , Sorry for your loss guys. Your pain is your way of showing how much you cared about this young man. Sorry I never met him, but shared a few PM`s with him. Obviously a great person gone too soon. RIP, Marty

Bryan, Truly a sad loss especially at such a young age. As long as you, Eric, and the rest of his friends and family remember him and keep him in your hearts, he will always be with you.

    Rest in Peace John.
