Northcountry Roundup 2008

This event will tentatively be held on Wednesday July 9th 2008 on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake located in NY's Adirondack Mountains.


I will confirm that date once I receive my own reservation confirmation for my weeklong vacation from Colgate Camp, located on the lake.

I am trying to give everyone as MUCH advance notice as possible, so please bear with me until I can definitely confirm this date.


As has been done in the prior years, we will all meet up around 6 AM ,at the NYDEC launch located at the northern end of this water. There is plenty of free parking, and the paved launch is free also. Easily can launch any type of bassboat there.

We meet again at around 11:30 for a shared BBQ shoreline lunch, with me bringing the burgers and me manning the grills.

All attending are asked to bring something for a shared BBQ meal.

After lunch, I run a FREE raffle of donated fishing products, etc for any attending.

There are NO fees to attend, and there is NO competition.
Hopefully, all attending will all share info so all get to catch some fish this day.

This year, printed tees shirts for this "Northcountry Roundup 2008" event will be made available for pickup at the event, but ORDERS must be sent in ahead of time so that we have the right size for anyone wanting one.
Price of the shirts will be announced in following posts, but NO money is being made on them .

The full Chaos contingent might not be up there yet, but my wife and I will be. The white Lund is in, and now that my wife has her own Duranautic, she'll probably come out and meet us for lunch.
We will keep you posted regarding our numbers and open seats, etc... I'll be happy to volunteer to bring something I'll forget to bring.

Camp Chaos was missed last year .


The beer cooler still had beer at the end of last year's event [because Tsunami and Zuke were MIA ], and there were actually leftover burgers with Zuke being MIA.

I would like to par take but being a Wednesday makes it difficult. If you guys are around on the weekend I can see if my family would like to come up.

I don't arrive to the 'camp" I stay at for the week until late Saturday afternoon after driving up there, first having to unload my truick when I arrive at camp, and then put the boat in the water. Happy Hour at the camp I stay at begins at 4:30, and missing Happy Hour is seriously frowned on.

The following Saturday we have to be OUT of the cabin by 11 AM, and then have a very long drive back to Long Island, and then have to unload the truck then.

The following Sunday is the JDC Memorial Tourney on Candlewood Lake.

That is why this event is always held mid-week.
I am sorry the timing is NOT convienient for everyone.
