Popular 70's Sitcom Coming Back to TV Starring NYBASS Members!
The NYBASS Undercover team has discovered that the popular 70's TV sitcom, "Welcome Back Kotter", is being brought back to TV!...and this time, there's a new twist... it involves a group of troubled bass fisherman who are misled by the idea that they need better tackle to improve their fishing...well, these guys end up being taught a few things by a former member who is now back in the old neighborhood....yup, TRAVIS is playing Kotter!.... and instead of an ornery principal who is always butting heads with kotter, the producers have decided to bring in MR. JIG as the respected elder principal figure...the combination of Jig's zen approach and kotter/travis' aggressive teaching style help them succeed in creating a group of young expert bass fisherman!..the setting is still in brooklyn and the guys are forced to use the crappiest of tackle of course...
i have to say i LOVE the idea...and what a great time to integrate the ever-growing sport of bass fishing into prime-time television!.... the only question now is, who is gonna play barbarino and horseshack?
ps...isn't it great how much Travis looks like Gabe Kaplan?...amazing!

hugefish4 had such a great audition yesterday that he was cast as horseshack on the spot...JoePido also showed up for the casting call and was cast as Epstein... there is a remote chance that huge may not work out, though... his agent is asking for special treatment: a private trailer with round-the-clock Tuina girl(chinese massage) and a demand that NO SENKOS be used in the show.... i'm not sure how that will fly with the producers...we'll see

7/02: NYBASSers to Star in Major Motion Picture!
I just got off the phone with earthworm77 and the senko baron, jefflang BVS... they've agreed to star in a new motion picture i'm producing... it involves 2 bass fishermen with radically different styles who join forces to exterminate the snakehead fish... you know the fish that walks on land and is threatening the entire eco-system of the chesapeake bay?... well, these guys DO THE JOB and save our beloved bass waters from the evil invaders by double-handedly catching and killing every last one of those bastards...and of course they engage in the expected misunderstandings and wacky fun... i think it sounds like a hit!

6/18/02: Tiger Woods Coming to Mahopac Get-Together!

well i guess taming bethpage is not enough for tiger... theole34 and earthworm77 were moonlighting as security at the US Open and buddied up with tiger this past weekend... knowing that tiger likes to fish on his time off, they invited him to maho for some bassin... rob was boasting about the numbers we put up at last year's get-together and tiger couldn't resist getting in on the action... so he accepted the invite!...that's right!...he's gonna make the road trip with the long island boys and plans to fish with scott c. on the crawdad!..."no special treatment" he insists...he wants to be one of the guys... there will be special security in place of course... agent patx will be there with his usual entourage of federal officers!
wow..i can't wait!...pizza, snoozer tubes, our wny friends and now a chance to take on the man himself: tiger woods!... i hope i can sleep tonight!

i just got word that dustin had the day of his life on toho!...check out these beauties!... it was such an impressive catch that Fish Fishburne called in the ESPN crew to catch it on video... and JPbass was there to share in the glory...wow, i am really happy for the kid...way to go dustin!

man o man...frankj and johnG are all over it these days!...new features up the wazoo... the new corporate office in westchester... john g and the lunch get-togethers... i'm lovin this place!
well, i just got word that frank and some guys did lunch at the antarctic shelf collapse... yeah...they hitched a ride with some greenpeacers and ended up landing a few fatties while they were there!... vic(yankeesrule), frank j, johnkud and scottE made the road trip...
and i thought the BPS trip to baltimore was hard-core... you guys are awesome!!

2/01/02: NYBASS moves to former ENRON headquarters!! |

it looks like frank j. scored a sweet deal on office space for the new NYBASS headquarters...with a few strings attatched tho... apparently, ENRON was looking to get out of the lease for its westchester, NY offices a few months back (just before the scandal hit) and made some sort of "deal" with frank and john... i don't know the details, but i have to say the place looks great!... press photos just hit BUSINESS WIRE and i thought i would pass them along...i see snoozer recognized a great PR opportunity... and it looks like john g has to testify before congress about his end of the deal (just a formality)... at least he's got a couple of his nybass buds (gr8tsacandaga and camrynekai) there with him for support! Right on guys!...nice place!
