incredible indeed

My partner, Bob C ( lurker extraordinaire) and I caught our fish on a shallow flat which held a few fish, but quality ones. With the TM kicking mud and a 20 ft boat sitting on a foot of water, we were able to catch fish on soft jerkbaits, sluggos and spinnerbaits. The flat borders a lily pad field and a few fish were caught hopping a plastic frog on the matted top, jungle fishing as what my partner calls. We lost a couple of quality fish which we thought couldve put us to the top.

congrats to the winners, Kevin and Brian. Again, Nybass members were high in the standings. Congrats to Scully, Dominic and Hooked Solid.

Nice job everyone. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day, weather and fish wise. All our fish were shallow, 3 ft or less and caught on Senkos and jigs.

Joe, that rookie of the year spot is looking good better every tourny.

Scul, How come you didn't tell everyone that this tourny was a G Team reunion? Dennis, Tom R. and Greg. Who's next, the
Queens connection.

E. Twin clones.....

Congrats to Hot Rod and Kevin C............ Only Mahopac could've surrendered more limits. I could've weighed in a 35 fish 70lb. bag... every fish was 2lbs., 2lbs., 2lbs......... We're gonna be beggin' for them cookie cutters at Lily- JDP

Team Hooked Solid makes me proud...

Thanks to Atlantic Bass, Ray Scully, and all involved for putting on another successful and well run TX.Also appreciate the congrats from you all, thanks. The "Old Guard" does it again w/ some big finishes, love too see it .Fishing w/ my brother again was a great time, just like the old days,Pre TX prep, bait deals in the parking lot at an undisclosed location!(EW),and quality time on the water. You gotta love it.We had fish on 7 or 8 different baits,as conditions changed,so did we,but never really strayed from 2 or 3 areas the whole day.Had the 5lb'er and a stocky 3 on a new lure that sings to you while you fish it,works good.Soft plasties caught most of the fish we caught ,but not most of the fish we brought to the scales.East Twin is a great fishery.Craig, congrats to yourself on a beauty start to your season, nothing on the Boing or sammy?Caught 2 on EW custom "pornkos",now duly named by my bro,our secret...><>...HS

he aint heavy....he's my brother

June (Hooked Solid)

It was great seeing brother Tom again. Brother Den "wackeyd the balls" off them Saturday. We started out with a Pop-R and had the limit in the boat in about 20 minutes. At
6:30 we caught our 7th and last top water fish. These fish came from an overlooked secondary point that offered the bass everything. The fish were under a school of "jack perch" that were working over a school of "minnies".

After that it was the "golden jewel", fished every which way at depts ranging from 1 to 8 feet. The better fish, the three 3's came in a foot of water close to docks. We broke off a pair of good fish as well. I believe they would have put us at close to 18 pounds. Both fish broke off under docks on the chains attaching the dock to the lake bottom.

I threw the jig quite a bit but caught only small bass, 1 to 1 3/4 pounders...go figure.

Congrats to all of you. Kevin ,Brian, Paul, Tom, Dom & Donny. JP is right...we will wish we had saved some of those 2 pounders for Lilly this Sunday.

Nice try Mr.Pido.....your not a rookie, your an aging Vet now...lol

Brian and I would like to thank our sponsor Hooked Solid Custom Products for their continued support. All our fish came on Mo-Jo rigged lizards on the inner weed lines.Brian landed the "horse" on candy apple red. The tournament committee once again did a fantastic job weighing in fifteen teams. Ray Scully should also be commended for his fine efforts.Congrats to June,Dom,Donnie,Ray ,Denny and Keegs. The HOF rules.

Count your blessings...

What a day! I feel fortunate to have been able to come home and fish the TX with all of you...especially Paul who continues to make me very proud. Your warm greetings, coupled with the conditions and great weather made this a trip I will not soon forget. Looking around at the weigh-in I couldn't help but think about how lucky you all are to have individuals willing to sacrifice time, year after year, to make the sanctaury that is your tournament season possible. I am jealous. Some day I will find the time to join a club here in Socal, but until then I will have to continue to get my fix annually as "Tom Ritchie (G)".

Congratulations to Kevin C., Brian R. and Mike W. and thanks again to all.

JP,

I'm in
Placentia, OC and loving it. Just bought my first house last July and think I might own one of the doorknobs by now. LOL.

When I get time to fish I'm usually renting aluminums at Castaic, Perris or Piru. I was recently turned on to a private lake in the middle of the Tejon Ranch (just north of
Magic Mountain). I'm not a member...yet. But I've been twice with a member and have slammed'em both times. The place is chock full of 4s and has produced multiple double digis annually. I'll send some pix.

p.s. I'll go ahead and blame the doze off on jet lag.

EW,

Of course you know the "gay pornkos" will need to be available in every color of the rainbow.

An important side note!!!!

East Twin is the only lake in CT from what I heard that now has Zebra mussels! After I pulled my boat on Sat,I grabbed some weeds off the bottom of my trailer and it was loaded w/ ZM's.Please everyone check your trailers and boats, livewells also,I believe some bleach ran through the wells kills off those pests, but not sure?I'd hate to be the one responsible to spread these things to C-wood,Maho,or anywhere!Thanx...><>...HS

he's out of the closet

Welcome aboard Crawdaddy (HOF). Congrats to you and the "Hot Rod" (NOT HOF) for your victory on Saturday. It looks as if I am going to have to "pull out all the stops" if I am going to be in the hunt this season.

Brother Tom....hurry back we miss you already. I cant tell you the memories your being there brought back. Like the first time we launched my new boat in 96 and the trolling motor fell off, remember. Then we started the big engine and couldnt get it to run above 2500 RPM. Then to really piss me off, the hydraulic jack plate wouldnt hold pressure, so the engine wanted to slip under the stern. I am surprised upon reflection how well I handled it. I have had "meltdowns" over much less.

The "Winnie KICKstart"
The Foxwoods Trolling motor dock incident"We're OUT"
The Conn River dunk and push(also foxwoods I believe)
Plus several "DOGBLOWERS"
Wouldn't trade those times for anything,I love this game!

Good to see the Crawdad and his infinite wisdom finally out on the scene but it'll be all smoke!Good Win buddy!

Paulie thanx for taken some of those Zebras back to LI with ya. Were nice enough to let ya fish our lakes until the season opens and it's nice to see taking time to warn the other guys in your club. There are some signs of Zebras in Candy in the New Milford arm. It is inevitable due to the run off from the Housy. However according to our resident biologist Candlewood does not offer a home condusive to ZM growth. Has something to do with the Calcium levels. Any way congrats to you and your brother for a nice 2nd place finish.. Kudos to Mr. Crawdady for he and his partners 1st place and great job Scull on 3rd and another fun TX up here in lovely NW CT. Hope to see some you guys on Maho soon!!
