Posted by HugeFish4 on 10-07-2003 12:28 AM: 6.5 and 5.4lber on Congers Lake I hit Congers Lake with my Dad for most of the day starting at around 10:30. I pitch jigs all through the cabbage and a couple of rock walls. I got a 2lber of a rock wall and then lost an absolute slob on the outer edge of some pads. Damn! I switched to a spinnerbait and then worked the north end of the lake. I was throwing my spinnerbait on my crankbait set-up to force me to slow down with the 5:1 gear ratio. Of course, I only have 10 lb test on that reel. I slow rolled my Terminator by the edge of some pads and was greeted by a fish. Finally...feels pretty good....it is a slob.... Holy Sh.......Get the net......!!!!! This freakin' thing bulldogged me in and out of the pads, but I finally got her in the net. A beautiful 6.5lb slob! Here is the pic!

It has been a long time since I broke the 6lb barrier. That fish was truly a healthy hog. The 5.4 was beautiful as well. Back to reality today on Kanawaukee. I only managed 4 keepers and a damn pickerel. Tomorrow Welch! __________________ Posted by SMOKE? on 10-07-2003 08:20 PM: I thought that was you and your farther i seen out there at Kanawauke. What a goofy lake! __________________ Posted by Rob J in WNY on 10-07-2003 09:02 PM: Great photos! Love that thumbs up attitude! You are certainly one of the most versatile anglers I know, always able to make something happen on the water. Try a Senko, and that versatility could very well "disappear" my friend......LOL! :p __________________ Posted by MarkNJBass on 10-08-2003 09:28 AM:

LOL! __________________ Posted by KHAN on 10-09-2003 11:39 PM: WOW REALLY NICE FISH! I think you need to turn that camera in for a camcorder and sell copies of your exploites!! Posted by HugeFish4 on 10-11-2003 08:07 PM: KHAN, the only way someone would buy a video of me fishing would be if the package were mislabeled "Senkos"!
