The joke behind this is -- Jim is a salt fisherman... big blues, stripers, porgies. he has fished salt for years, and makes the cover with a trout through the ice on a pond!!!

That was a fun day despite the fact that we only caught 3 fish.......

I was a little late for the Bikini contest,thats the bummer part of the day. Scott an hour earlier & it would have been you.

John Skinner gets all the credit,for being at the right spot at the right time.It also kinda helped being the surf forum moderator for them.John's the surf editor for the magazine,so he was able to pull some strings.Next I gotta work on Tom Melton.

The ice looks so different there- there is not 20" of snow on top, and there's no snow on land...What's up with that?!

That was the week before I was up by you. We hadnt had much real snow by then but it was cold for a prolonged period. Beautiful ice.
Shortly after that it was like real ice....all carved up and snowy.
